My name is Brittany Smith and I am an AVON DIVISIONAL MAKEUP MAVEN!!! I absolutely love Cosmetics and Color. Here is some background about how I became a Maven. I joined Avon in September 2010 to earn some extra income to pay off some credit cards. I wound up falling in love with the products and meeting new people and going to meetings and seeing all the upcoming products Avon had to offer. I then became a Avon District Assistant in early 2012, that was an experience I'll never forget. Being in charge of 700 Reps and Quotas and Counts and Event set-up etc, it was a task in a half. In October 2012 Avon held a contest called AVON MAKEUP MAVEN. Basically all the Avon Reps were eligible to enter, your had to create a 4 minutes makeup/nail tutorial on how to create a specific look using only Avon Products. Then everyone could vote and find District, Divisional, and Regional Winners all over the country. I created a Video teaching how to create a Neutral-Tone Eye look. It was the only thing I could think of that would be easy and that I could manage in a 4 minute time frame. I didn't think my video was that great I saw many other videos that I thought were awesome. Then in November 2012 I got an e-mail from Avon saying I was a DIVISIONAL WINNER and was going to be sent to NYC February 2013! I couldn't believe it. I didn't even know that the voting had started. I was ecstatic. My Manager did a whole big Congrats and played my video for my district at one of our meetings. It was so much fun. THe experience Avon gave us in New York was incredible. The 3 days, two night trip was just wonderful. Staying in Time Square was so much fun. What I won: ~A trip to NYC and stayed in the Double Tree Suits in Times Square (3 days 2 nights)
Trip also included a Makeup Masters Class with Paul Innis (Celeb Makeup Artist)
Trip to the Avon Research and Development Center
Trip to Avon Headquarters (cocktail party)
Social Media Class to help expand our business
~5 Product Boxes (Cosmetics to try first) ~A Special Pin that says Avon Makeup Maven The entire trip was absolutely awesome and eye opening to all the technology and research that goes into every products that is created. Below is a quick slideshow of some of the pictures I took throughout the trip. I have more on my facebook page.
