YAY or NAY?
I bought this spray at Rite Aid for $16.99, I have heard so many good things about it I thought I'd try it out for myself. I am big on makeup setting sprays, I think they make a huge difference in makeup longevity. I used this spray maybe 8 or 10 times now and I have some ups and some downs about it. 1. The sprayer is wonderful, gives a nice mist to the face and feels refreshing 2. I noticed my makeup last nicely throughout the day and didn't need any touch-ups. 3. You get a good amount in the bottle for the price. 3.4 fl oz The only thing I don't like about this product that I never had happen with other makeup settings sprays is that its so wet that it made my mascara from my bottom lashes transfer under my eye. I suggest if you buy or plan to buy this product that after you spray it on your face that you fan your face ASAP or stand in front of a fan or something so it dries. So all in all I would give the spray a YAY. It did work nicely but now I know better and will fan off my face before moving around so nothing can smudge.

YAY or NAY?
So I have gotten fed up with being pale white and decided to try a self tanning lotion. I don't have the time or the money to go get a spray tan and it just started warming up enough here in New England to the point where going out and sitting in the sun in a bathing-suit is acceptable. I literally have seen people already walking around in short and tank tops, but I won't even attempt wearing that stuff until I have some color, I think pale skin is just not attractive in neon colors and shorts. So I always try to find time on a weekend to go out in the sun and get a little color. But since this year has just be the worst and taking forever to warm up I haven't had the chance. So I came across these Self- Tanning lotions in the store and I normally would never even bother with these things because I find them pointless (they just wash off anyways) but these specific two both said that they are gradual tan tanning lotions and no streaking or orange color. So I bit the bullet and bought the two. Let me just say now... HUGE MISTAKE EVER!!! I hate them both! They clearly state on the front that they a fresh CITRUS SMELL, but that smell only lat for about 20minutes, once you've put these lotions on and wait for it to really adsorbs into the skin you reak of self tanner, and you can't wash the smell away! It last for days! and I'M ORANGE!! I look like a damn OOMPA LOOMPA! AHHHH! L'Oreal SublimeBronze Tinted Self-Tanning Lotion (Deep) - So I bought this lotion at Rite Aid on sale for $7.99, and I had a $2 OFF Coupon. I bought in deep in hopes that it would make me tan super fast. It states on the bottle that it has a Citrus Scent and is streak free and no orange coloring. It also says that after two hours you will see a dramatic difference and will be tan. WELL... When you squeeze this stuff out on your hand it is brown with tons of glitter and sparkles in it for one. So as your applying it to your body it makes you sparkle. At first the smell is nice but then after maybe 20 -25 minutes you start to smell that self tanner smell, and then after about 40minutes you start to see a color change and begin to look orange. When you inside in room lighting you just think you look bronzed but if you stand next to another color (lets take your wall for instance, my walls are an off white color) you can totally tell your orange. And when you go out in day light your a complete dirty orange color. It streaks horribly, I thought i had managed to color my entire body and didn't miss any spots but holly hell I missed so much and it's because you have to drench yourself in this stuff. It dried to every dry patch on your body possible, even dry spots you may not have even knew existed. The other thing that annoys me about this is that the inside of your elbows where your arm bends gets all patchy and you can see spots that don't have the tan, and that because your constantly opening and closing your arm so the product wears away! OH and don't try to even wash your hands because you'll have white hands and dark wrists and arms and look completely dumb. Basically where ever skin is touching other skin the product will rub off, its a nightmare. It doesn't come off on clothes or on sheets though which boggles my mind, I had applied this after my shower at night 2 nights in a row thinking the first application was ok and I just should touch up. All that did was made me more orange and idiotic looking. L'Oreal Sublime Bronze Self- Tanning Lotion (Medium) - This claims all the same things on the bottle as the other and was the same price and had another coupon for the $2 OFF. This one comes out as a white lotion and has the same Citrus smell that does not last. I also used this product twice, I didn't see any difference really. It is suppose to be a gradual tan if used daily, but the smell is herendous and dis |
