YAY or NAY?
I purchased this Nivea in shower Body Conditioner a few weeks ago at Target. It's original price is $8.00 but I got it for $5.99. I bought this because I was hoping it would be like the Olay Body Ribbons in shower Lotion/wash. Let me just explain how this works first. It's a 4 step process.
Step One: Wash with regular body wash / rinse
Step Two: Apply Nivea Skin Conditioner all over body
Step Three: Rinse
Step Four: Pat Dry/ and go about your day or night
WOWWOWOOOWOWOW!!! I don't even know what to say really. This is one of the best products I have ever used for in shower lotion/ conditioner. When you are done with your shower and get out and pat dry your skin feels brand new and silky soft. I use this at night, and it's so nice to feel renewed in the morning when you wake up, it's still there. You still feel moisturized and silky. It doesn't have a smell but it doesn't have a bad smell either thank god. I loved this product, HUGE YAY for me. The only downfal to this products is the bath tub lol. You have to spray down your tub after use because it is so slippery. But I can deal with that to have perfect moisturized skin.
The have 3 different ones out on the market right now, and I am sure they all work wonderfully. I chose this one because it said for VERY DRY SKIN, and that is me right now. I love this product, this is going to become my Holy Grail Winter Skin Product.
YAY or NAY?
I bought this Glam Glow mask at my local Sephora Store, I DID NOT buy the full size, I bought the smaller Deluxe Sample size near the checkout line. I bought this to see if it was really worth the hype all the youtube guru's make it out to be. I am one of those people that doesn't believe anything til I try it for sure. But Full Size Costs $70, Deluxe Sample Size $20. They have 4 different masks to help with your needs. But I purchased this one the "TingleXFoliate" and tried it out the same night I bought it. I took my shower, removed my makeup, and when I got out put the mask on. WOW, I give this product a YAY all the way. The smell is so awesome, and applying it to the face goes on a little "chunky" if that's the even the right term to use. There are pieces of the ingredients that are in the mask that exfoliate the skin while you applying it. At first it kind of burns and tingles almost to the point where you want to take it off, and I figured it only did so that badly on me because I had literally just washed my face. It dries pretty fast. I left it on all dried for about 10 minutes. Then I got a warm wet washcloth and began to do circle motions around my face to remove the mask, it removes very easily and exfoliated the skin nicely. When I was done I still felt little pieces of the mask remaining on my face so I just rinsed off my face in warm water. After pat drying my face I looked in the mirror and felt my face and I couldn't believe the difference. My face looked so glowy and renewed looking if that makes sense. I was stunned at what an awesome job and how soft my face felt. I definitely would purchase a Full Size. I am trying the Hydrating mask next by them since my face is so dry right now in the winter. I will leave a review on that one too. Definitely recommend! I can see why these masks are featured in so many magazines!
Below is a picture of when I used the Mask, you can actually see all the little exfoliate pieces on my face.
YAY OR NAY?
This was a big NAY for me!!! I was so excited to try this product, I bought it in the shade Natural Buff, the Shade matched me almost perfectly. But the downfall.... I first applied this foundation with a Damp Beauty Blender, I was extremely happy with the color match and the Matte finish, but when I looked closer I saw all kinds of patches on my face. The foundation dried to every little line/crease/dry patch on my face. AHHH I wore it all day even though I looked like complete crap just to see how long it would last and to see if it would indeed stay matte for so long. My face felt extremely tight and plastic like when I made faces. I was ready to throw it right in the trash, but I thought "let me give it one more shot." So the second time I applied it I used my Foundation Flat Kabuki Brush, I was noticing as I was applying the foundation that it was drying super fast before I could even blend it out, and once again looked up closer and noticed I looked like a crack face (lol) the foundation was just horrifying on.
Yes it is winter and Yes I do get very dry skin on my face in the winter, but I always prime my face before applying foundation and I was not expecting such a highly talked about foundation to leave me looking like a cakey, cracked, blotchy mess. I have never experienced this with any of my other foundations. I will give this once last shot in the summer time to see how it holds up in Humidity.
So I decided to give this foundation one more shop a couple weeks ago. My skin is no longer super dry it's back to normal thankfully enough. So I tried the foundation alone once to see how I would like it now that my skin isn't dry, I wasn't pleased. So the next day I tried it mixed with a little bit of my Maybelline Fit Me Dewy foundation and noticed it looked a little better and was easier to apply. BUT, unfortunately it still dried to the face funny and some spots looked more caked up than others. From a distance it looks very nice, very matte, but when you get closer you can see that it just dries to the skin oddly. It was breaking up on my nose and just wasn't flattering. Not to mention it says it's long lasting but I noticed that it will rub off super easily on anything, if you rest your hand on your chin the foundation with come off, god forbid you hug someone and your face touches their clothing, it leaves foundation all over the persons shirt. It was coming off on my phone when I had to make a call. I just don't like this foundation. I really wanted to like it but it's not doing what it claims, and I feel like I have a mask on, it's very heavy and clogging feeling.
